CALVERT CHURCHES COMMUNITY FOOD PANTRY (CCCFP)
CCCFP provides food assistance to ALL residents of central Calvert County in need. Emmanuel UMC is a founding member of and continues to faithfully support CCCFP, both financially and staffing volunteers. If you are in need of assistance or are interested in supporting this ministry, please contact the church office or CCCFP directly.
SEWING CIRCLE
Founded by our United Methodist Women, but open to all, our sewing ministry has become a staple in the life of Emmanuel. Our sewers meet on Wednesdays to sew blankets for various agencies, including Project Linus, Charlotte Hall Veterans Home, and CalvertHealth Infusion Therapy Center. This includes crocheted afghans, sewn quilts, and pillows.
MISSION WORK
Headed up by Randy Morgan, our growing mission team continues to assist in the repair and rebuild of homes both local and distant. This team regularly works in conjunction with Christmas in April in Calvert County, United Methodist Disaster Response in Tarboro, North Carolina, Appalachia Service Project in Wheeling, West Virginia, and Camp Hope in Frostburg, Maryland. This team is comprised of men and women, young and not-so-young, trained construction workers and first timers.
